Super 6

6th Graders-- Welcome to the YMCA

School Districts Included in the Program

Mexico Public Schools, Community R-6 District, Van-Far School District, North Callaway R-1 District, Paris R-2 District, St. Brendan Catholic School- Mexico, St. Joseph Catholic School- Martinsburg

This program is an attempt to get all 6th grade students active and involved.  Middle School Sports begin in 7th grade so often times 6th graders are left with nothing to do.  The Y is inviting all 6th grade students to become members of the the Y FOR FREE during this year.  Here is how it will work:

** Students will need to come into the Y and register for the program. (registration forms will be sent home from school with each 6th grader)

Once enrolled, these students will have access to the all areas of the facility except the wellness center.   Note: when the student becomes 12 years of age they have the option of taking a youth certification class that certifies them to use the wellness center.

Already a member of the YMCA with your family?  For you, we would like to offer you free programs throughout the year. (volleyball, soccer, basketball, etc.)

When does this program start and end?   June 1 through May 31.

During the school year, the students will be able to walk to the Y after school.
