Fitness Class Policies 

 

  • NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 10 IS PERMITTED IN THE CLASSROOM
  • The minimum age to participate in a class without supervision is 15. 
  • Children 10-14 years of age wishing to participate in group fitness classes must have a parent or guardian participate in the class with them. 
  • Anyone wishing to participate in Body Pump must be a minimum of 18 years of age. 
  • All class participants are expected to participate in a safe and non-disruptive manner. Determination will be at the discretion of the class instructors. 


All Instructors are CPR certified.

 Abs

Hit your middle with a blast of core conditioning exercises to enhance abdominal definition and stability.


Active Chair

Hit your middle with core conditioning exercises to enhance abdominal definition and stability.


Back to Basics

Combination of low-impact aerobics and strength conditioning using weights and bands.

Biking 

Indoor cycling provides a total body, true-to-real cycling indoor workout more akin to cross training typically only possible with a combination of exercises and equipment or a real outdoor bicycle. 


Chair Exercise Class

This class includes exercises for both the lower and upper body with emphasis on range of motion and building endurance. Balance and stretching is included in the workouts. A chair will be incorporated for stability and sitting exercises.

 

Chair Only

Exercises performed while sitting in a chair. Emphasis is on strength and flexibility. 


Circuit

A great work-out alternating cardiovascular exercise and strength training. Perfect for all fitness levels as each person works at their own intensity level (Wellness Center)


Country Fusion

Country dance-inspired workout that combines simple moves with country-inspired jams. Non-stop calorie burning while stepping, clapping, stomping - and forgetting you're getting a fat-blasting cardio workout!


Form Functional and Fitness Strength Class (FFF)

Join the class that is designed to help with improving cardio and strength using functional movements and mixing them in a fun and effective workout. The workouts vary using body weight, cardio and weightlifting in a blend of nonstop movement. 


Gentle Yoga

A restful, calming class including breathing, gentle flowing movements, passive and supported poses. A perfect beginning yoga class that is also appropriate for those working with injury, limited mobility, or prefer a gentler approach to yoga. 


Groove

Will make you sweat with a smile during this energizing hour of dance fitness. It’s a sizzling cardio experience that is a fusion of club, urban, and Latin dance styles set to the hottest current hits and the best dance songs ever produced!


Low Impact Aerobics

Perfect introduction or reintroduction to exercise that will enhance physical and mental fitness. This class is a low-impact aerobic workout, plus exercises for flexibility, strength, and balance. Weights, bands and medicine balls are used to strengthen, tone and stretch muscles. Emphasis is on variety; no workout is ever the same and a variety of music is used to motivate.


Pilates

A conditioning class that will strengthen, lengthen, and tone your entire body. This class combines core stabilization and mobility training for improving your overall body fitness. 


POUND 

Cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing desire to play the drums. 


Power

A one-hour, cutting-edge strength training workout designed to get you muscle strong and movement strong. It combines traditional strength training with full-body, innovative exercises using an adjustable barbell, weight plates, body weight, a step, heart-pounding music, and expert coaching.


Step Aerobics

Using Reebok steps - instructors will provide moves for the beginner, intermediate and the advanced stepper. All instructions may be performed on the floor for those who do not prefer the platforms.


Stretch & Tone

Exercises for abdominals, hips, legs and back on a floor mat including stretching throughout the workout. 


Super Circuit

A great work-out alternating cardiovascular exercise and strength training. Perfect for all fitness levels as each person works at their own intensity level. (Wellness Center)


TBT (Total Body Training) 

Workouts focused on cardio, strength, and agility. Will use various pieces of equipment.


TRX

This class uses a Suspension Trainer that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. Fast, effective total-body workout; helps build a rock solid core and increase muscular endurance.


Weight Wednesday

Class is focused on full body strength training using various forms of weights including body weight.


WERQ 

WERQ is a fun dance fitness class based on pop, rock and hip hop music. Don't think you can dance? As long as you're moving and having fun, you're dancing! Come join the party and get fit with WERQ! 


Yoga

Instructors are certified through Yoga Fit. Yoga Fit Style is a form of Hatha Yoga which believes in “breathing, feeling, & listening” to the body. It is an active, flowing style of Yoga that can be modified to allow each participant to feel safe yet challenged.
