Summer 2026 job Openings

 The Mexico Area Family YMCA is looking for enthusiastic and energetic staff to join our 2026 Summer Day Camp Team! If you love working with kids and want to help them make memories that last a lifetime, this is the perfect summer job for you!


Day Camp Counselors

  • Pay: Minimum Wage
  • Monday–Friday, June 29 – August 14
  • Morning & Afternoon Shifts
  • Openings for K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th/5th grade (One morning & one afternoon counselor per grade)


Food Program Coordinator

  • Pay: Minimum Wage
  • Responsible for preparing, serving, and organizing meals for day camp participants and local youth in need
  • Ordering and purchasing
  • Includes lunch, breakfast prep, and snack organization


Important Dates:

  • Applications accepted until April 30th
  • Interviews will take place in May
  • Mandatory training will be held June 16th
